Since the beginning of September, Trinity Church York has been holding a new service on Sunday afternoons at 4pm in Burnby Community Hall, Pocklington.
Who we are
Trinity Church York is a Christian church in central York. We are a Presbyterian Church with a congregation of about 150 people of all ages. You can find out more about what we believe as Christians here and more about us as a church here. Since 2016, some of our congregation and others who live nearby have been meeting in Pocklington to read the Bible and pray.
In the spring of 2021 we reached a point where there were enough of us living in and around Pocklington to start a new service here on Sunday afternoons. We hope this will be an opportunity for Christians and anyone else in Pocklington to come and join in with or watch the worship of God, and perhaps to discover Jesus and Christianity for the first time.
Everyone is welcome, whether Christian or not, and whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth!
What to expect
The service will be run by Trinity Church York. We are convinced that worshipping God, meeting him in his Word and bringing our prayers and praises to Him is the best thing we can ever do.
So every Sunday afternoon at 4pm we will meet for an hour to worship God together as God's family. This includes hearing God’s Word through the reading and preaching of the Bible, singing, praying, and sharing the Lord’s Supper. To get more of a feel for what we do on Sundays you can watch a live stream of a Sunday service at Trinity Church York here.
Come and join us!
We meet in Burnby Community Hall (Burnby Hall, 33 The Balk Pocklington, York YO42 2QF). There is plenty of parking at the Hall and on the surrounding streets.
If you have any questions about the services or about Christianity in general please get in touch with our Assistant Minister Adam Wilson .
