Trinity Church York

Summer School

The Student Summer School is 3 weeks of lectures, reading discussions, and writing short essays to help us deepen our knowledge and love of Jesus. This year, from the 21st of June to 9th of July we will be looking at JESUS: Our Prophet, Priest, and King.

On Monday afternoons we will have lectures from Jonty Rhodes (Minister of Christ Church Central Leeds), Matthew Roberts (Minister of Trinity Church York), and Adam Wilson (Assistant Minister of Trinity Church York). On Wednesday afternoons students will have guided reading discussions, looking at some key books and essays to help us build on the lectures and grow our understanding of what it means for Jesus to be our prophet, priest, and king. Then on Friday afternoons students will be encouraged to submit 500-1000 word response to help solidify what they have learnt through the week.

Last year we had 15 students from Trinity join us on Zoom for our Summer School and this year we want to invite students from across the IPC to come and join us. All of the lectures and discussions will be accessible through Zoom if you are not able to be in York, but our hope is to do the teaching and discussions in person.
